Hi! My name is Shya Lewis. I was born in Heidelberg, Germany in 1997 and was raised pretty much all over the world.  My passion for politics stemmed from being a member of my high school’s Young Democrats club.  I’m a Political Science major/French minor and a member of Georgia Southern University’s Honors Program.  So far in college, I have had the opportunity to be a part of the Georgia Southern University Model UN delegation, serve as an Honors Ambassador and  volunteer with the Center for International Programs and Services. Some interesting facts about myself are that I competed in the 2017 Miss Georgia USA Pageant and I played the flute for six years. I had the pleasure of meeting Jarvis Steele through professor recommendations and through the Honors Program.  I am so grateful for this opportunity to work alongside him and the entire team bringing various political perspectives to Georgia Southern’s campus.
